Biography

Bridget is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in healthcare while studying to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at the University of Virginia, working as a patient care technician on a Medical-Surgical floor and in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. While at UVA, Bridget was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing. After graduation, Bridget returned to the NICU at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital as a registered nurse where she helped care for some of the most critically ill infants. In 2015, Bridget began working as a pediatric triage nurse at Capitol Medical Group, where she enjoyed the opportunity to educate families on how to best care for their children. Her love of family and patient education pushed Bridget to pursue a Master’s of Science in Nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, a role in which she diagnoses and treats conditions and diseases in patients of all ages. Bridget has completed rotations in pediatrics, internal medicine, and urgent care.
